We are TogoRun  April 27th, 2009

An oncologist we know once described his choice of medical specialty this way: “I graduated first in my class in pediatric medicine from Yale. But working with sick kids was so depressing I switched to oncology during residency.”

What? He picked cancer?

It’s all in how you look at it, he said. With advances in cancer treatment accelerating, the field was constantly changing. The speed of the change, he said, was the biological equivalent of Moore’s Law, which famously describes the doubling of computer processing speed every two years.

He chose oncology because he was drawn to the promise of that transformation. His vision of cancer was full of hope.

You could say that launching a new company during the worst economic downturn in 75 years also takes a certain amount of hopeful vision.

But it’s all in how you look at it. This may be the very best time to introduce ourselves. And we like a challenge.

Today is Opening Day for TogoRun, a new agency specializing in health communications. You are probably seeking what we deliver: faster, nimbler services with an emphasis on creativity and impeccable delivery, from a team of skilled professionals who work here because it’s an environment where personal initiative and excitement can thrive. We believe clients who hire us deserve to have a superb agency experience, and we work hard to deliver.

Elsewhere on this site you can read about our offerings, our operating philosophy and why we chose our name. This blog will feature regular contributions from the TogoRun Team, often on the subject of the service experience, which is a source of constant study for us. We’ll also talk about health and healthcare, trends and issues, science and philosophy, our hobbies and our passions.
